The AC Draft shield is highly useful easy to install device to end cold drafts coming from AC duct work in your attic. Buy these and also seal your AC return and you will save major bucks.

Great for wall mount

These went on quickly on "through the wall vents" (I am your average ordinary woman, and had no problem installing in 2 seconds), look neat and tidy, and are holding great to prevent air flow.
We wish they had them in a smaller size (hint, hint like exactly 14 x 8) as we have several stand alone ceiling vents and need covers to exactly fit the vent frame.

Shipping time was reasonable.
Installed them yesterday, pretty clever and simple. Last night our heater ran much less, and the house feels warmer without the drafts.
Good design, good quality, could be quite a bit slimmer for my vents, but they disappear quickly.

Easy Solution

Purchased to block forced heat and AC from floor vents in empty bedroom. Works just as advertised. Simply place over floor vents..its that simple. With these floor vents covered, it does not take long for AC or furnace to heat or cool the other rooms in the house.

Forget the magnetic covers - they are useless. These are the perfect answer and they look really nice in addition to being really effective. We were losing a lot of heat during the winter through our ceiling vents...but not since we installed these covers. Easy to install, too! Highly recommend!!!!!

We got 6 of these to cover the intakes for our air conditioner on our ceilings. Some of them are up against a wall. The instructions tell you to cut the shield if that is the case. We were not happy with that thought, instead got a small weather strip to put around 3 sides. It seems to be a better solution. These are expensive, we hope they do a good job.

AC Draft Shields are amazing. I have lived in my current home since 2007 and have had to tape and seal off my downstairs vents each winter. This involved stuffing a towel in the vent and sealing the register with plastic and tape. I came across this product and began to communicate with Bill at AC Draft Shields and the customer service and product were and are BOTH amazing. I placed an order for all 11 registers in our home and my wife and I installed them the night they arrived. It was not difficult, just took a little time. We wanted to get them installed before the COLD weather arrived. They have been on now since before Thanksgiving and today it is 8 degrees here in PA. I checked the lower vents and there is NO cold and NO drips. I LOVE THESE. Wish I had found them sooner.

I used them in our family room during the summer to block the cold air from the air conditioning. In a split level home, the lower level, about five steps down from the foyer is the coldest room, even with the vents shut. The vent covers prevent any leakage from the register.
